Does Monsanto think that the modern agricultural model is better (GMO, pesticides etc) is better than natural or organic farming techniques?

Hi Bradford- We realize that there are a number of options when it comes to farming practices. Our customers include farmers who raise GMO, conventional and organic crops--sometimes on the same farm. We work hard every day to provide farmers the best options so that they can make informed decisions on what would work best for them. We do believe that modern agriculture practices help farmers successuly grow more food with fewer resources on less land.

GMOs are just one of the tools helping farmers grow successful harvests. They help farmers protect their crops from weeds, insects, diseases, drought and more. In addition, some GMO seeds can enable the use of no-till farming, which helps farmers use less water by keeping more moisture in the soil. This no-till method also reduces agriculture's carbon footprint by using less fuel and keeping more carbon dioxide in the ground.
