be able to grow enough food for all of us, farmers need to protect their crops
from weeds. Agrochemicals like glyphosate are one way farmers can do that. Crops that have been genetically modified so that glyphosate doesn't hurt them allows farmers to effectively control weeds by precisely targeting the invasive plants. This means farmers don't have to till or turn over their soil as much to control weeds, which, reduces emissions and can reduce soil erosion by as much as 90%.
