U.S. Work/Life Balance Benefits
Monsanto believes we can all be healthier and contribute more if there's balance among the demands of work, family and life.
Monsanto and its affiliates reserve the right to amend or terminate company benefit plans and programs at any time.
You are eligible for two weeks of vacation per calendar year during your first two calendar years of employment. During your first year of employment, this is pro-rated depending on your start date.
Beginning with your third calendar year of employment, you’re eligible for four weeks of vacation per calendar year.
Monsanto provides 13-14 paid holidays each year. The following are observed at most locations: New Year's Day, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas. The remaining holidays vary per work location and can vary from year to year.
In St. Louis and certain other locations, remaining holidays are often scheduled so that a holiday shut down is possible in late December.
Leaves of Absence
For parental leave, you’ll receive full pay for up to 20 business days within a year of the birth or adoption of your child. This is in addition to disability leave if the mother is a Monsanto employee who gives birth to a child.
Requests for a variety of other leaves of absence, including death in the family, educational pursuits and military service, also may be granted – some with pay.
You may be eligible to receive up to $7,500 toward the cost of adopting a child.
Monsanto’s well-being program encourages you to achieve your well-being goals in the areas you’d like to work on: physical, financial, emotional and work. You can participate in activities, learn through workshops and earn rewards.
Monsanto supports your development in ways that contribute to our business success — and that allow you to be rewarded for the results you deliver. The process includes setting clear goals, providing you ongoing feedback and rewarding success.
Internal and external seminars and conferences are available to increase your technical, professional and managerial skills. These learning opportunities also provide a way to exchange ideas and perspectives with professional people from different companies, locations and functions.
You may be eligible for up to $7,500 annually for tuition if you maintain an acceptable grade level and satisfy program requirements.
Monsanto will pay for membership in an organization of your choice that is directly related to your professional interests and job assignment.
