Monsanto wins Stevie Award for Most Innovative Company
Monsanto is proud to be named the American Business Awards “Stevie Award” winner for “Most Innovative Company” in the more than 2,500 employees category for 2008. Stevies were created to honor and generate public recognition around the achievements and positive contributions of organizations and business people globally. The ABAs are the only national, all-encompassing awards program honoring great performances in business. They recognize the achievements of companies—for-profit or non-profit—and are based on the nominated company's accomplishments. This year's Stevies focused on green business initiatives.

Monsanto Again Among 100 Best Places for IT Workers by Computerworld.
For the third year in a row, Monsanto was selected as one of the top 100 environments for technology professionals, based on employee surveys regarding benefits, diversity, career development, training and retention. Monsanto ranked 13th of the top 100 workplaces in this year's survey. For more information,

Monsanto Makes DiversityInc's "2008 Top Companies for Diversity" List
Monsanto ranked No. 25 on DiversityInc’s 2008 “Top 50 Companies for Diversity” list. DiversityInc is a print and online news source that covers corporate diversity. This is the first time Monsanto has made the list, and it was the only St. Louis-based company recognized. Monsanto received high marks for human capital, and corporate and organizational communications. DiversityInc cited Monsanto's employee-resource groups, which are funded by the company and meet during the workday.

Monsanto Makes CRO 100 Best Corporate Citizens List
Corporate Responsibility Officer magazine has included Monsanto in its 100
Best Corporate Citizens List for 2008. The list uses publicly available
information in eight categories to rank Russell 1000 companies. Categories
include climate change, governance, employee relations, environment, financial,
human rights, environment and financial.

Computerworld Ranks Monsanto Top Green
IT Company
Monsanto has been ranked as one of 12 green IT companies in IDG’s Computerworld top
Green-IT Companies for 2008. Computerworld recognized Monsanto,
the only agriculture company on the list, for working to reduce energy consumption
in IT equipment and using technology to conserve energy and lower carbon
emissions. This honor is part of Computerworld's first Top Green-IT
Companies feature.

Makes InfoWorld 100 List for 2007
Every year, InfoWorld celebrates 100 IT organizations that have made the
best use of technology in pursuit of business goals. Monsanto's winning project,
the Go Ag supply-chain system, fine tuned purchasing data earlier than had

Science Magazine
Ranks Monsanto as a Top Ten Employer
Monsanto has been ranked as one of the top ten employers in the biotechnology
industry, according to the recent 2007 Top Biotech and Pharma Employers survey
conducted by Science magazine.
Survey takers for Science recognized Monsanto as being an innovative
leader in the industry and doing important, quality research. Companies are
rated on many attributes including corporate image, leadership and direction,
financial prowess, work culture/environment, work/life balance, academics
and collegial exchange, and compensation and benefits. (Oct. 2007)

Monsanto Named to InformationWeek 500 List
Monsanto is pleased to have made the InformationWeek500 list for 2008. The
InformationWeek 500 honors today’s leading companies who set the benchmark
for business technology strategies and projects. (Sept. 2007)

America's SAP User Group Awards Monsanto IT
with a 2007 Impact Award
This award is ASUG's highest honor for companies that have generated significant
business value and results through the implementation of SAP. Impact award
submissions are evaluated on a series of criteria including ROI, strategic
alignment to goals met, SAP product scope utilized, best practices developed,
service improvements demonstrated and the degree of innovation reflected
in their approach.

Magazine Chooses Monsanto as One of the Most Innovative Companies in
the World
"They're masters of innovation and technology, global thinkers that dominate
their industries and point the way to the future." Monsanto makes number
#21 this year (up from #25 in 2006), listed for its focus on innovative new
products such as trans-fat-free soybeans and drought-tolerant corn. Monsanto
is also featured for leading the way in Green
Power with our corn bioengineered for ethanol. (March 2007)

St. Louis Magazine Notes Monsanto's Strong Employee
Benefits Program.
Compared with 25 other biggest and best-known St. Louis-based companies,
this popular local lifestyle magazine found Monsanto was notable for our
generous vacation benefits (including being the only company to offer summer
hours plan), our licensed on-site daycare facility, our family-friendly adoption
assistance program, and the high number of employees who have been with us

Monsanto Recognized as a Top Employer in Argentina
Revista Apertura magazine has named Monsanto
Argentina the 5th best place to work in 2007. The complete list includes
the top 20 companies with 200 to 1,000 employees. More than 160 businesses
in Argentina participated. Companies were judged by their HR policies such
as professional career, salaries, work environment, time schedule and work
conditions, and training. Revista Apertura is an Argentine monthly magazine
specializing in economic, financial, academic and other business-related
issues.
Monsanto Canada Recognized in Annual Maclean’s
Survey of Top 100
Canadian Employers
MacLean's Magazine Top
100 Employers designation recognizes the Canadian employers that lead their
industries in offering exceptional places to work. The Maclean's listing
ranks employers based on a nation-wide survey, an application process and
analysis of compensation levels, work/life balance, training opportunities,
workplace facilities and company perks.
“This is the first time Monsanto has participated in the Maclean’s
process and clearly, we are pleased to be recognized in this way,” said
Sean Gardner, vice-president and general manager of Monsanto

Monsanto Named One of Best Companies to Work in Brazil – Eight
Times in a Row
Great Place to Work® Institute has again named Monsanto
Brazil one of the 100 Best Companies to Work for in Brazil. Among the
factors cited for the selection were the benefits of teamwork, the commitment
to social responsibility, support for community outreach projects, and the
involvement in programs aimed at improving the quality of life of employees.
Monsanto was also one of three companies cited as a place where employees
feel proud to work. The survey also indicated that Monsanto is the 14th most
sought company to work for in Brazil. (Sept. 2007)

Monsanto India Named One of the Best Employers in India
Hewitt Associates has named Monsanto
India as one of the top 25 employers in the country for 2007. This award
recognizes the leading organizations that achieve a competitive advantage
through their people and are outstanding places to work.

Monsanto Mexico Recognized as Best Place to Work
In its first year of participation, Monsanto
Mexico was selected among the 60 Best Places to Work in Mexico. Sponsored
by the Great Place to Work Institute Mexico and Expansion magazine. Monsanto
employees reported a high sense of pride for the work they do, their teams
